OBJECTIVE
To be the hub that connects the disadvantaged sector of Nigeria to proficient legal counsels in Nigeria. The Drive behind this is to ensure that the right verdict is given to the accused and those who can’t afford a legal representative are given support.
According to the statistics released by The Nigerian Prison Service in March 2015, while Nigeria’s prisons have the capacity to hold 20,000, persons they were holding 57,121. That is, they were holding nearly 37,121 more men and women than they have room for. According to the same figures, about 1,089 are women representing about 2% of women in Nigeria prison (Nigeria Prison Service, 2015). The Federal Government, through Ministry of Justice, the Nigerian Prison Service and other Non-governmental organizations has had various conferences and talk shopd on the very many issues confronting imprisoned women and men. In 1976, the Federal government, through the ministry of justice established the Nigerian Legal Aid Council to provide free legal services to Nigerian citizens who cannot afford the services of private legal practitioners. Despite the aforesaid, the imprisoned woman continues to face tremendous challenges, even as the society comes out worse of.

Founder
The brilliant mind and the compassionate heart behind the initiative. With an impressive background as a lawyer, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team. Her unwavering dedication to advocating for the rights and well-being of incarcerated women birth WIPSI.
Bar. Tobi Akindayomi
State Coordinator
As the Ondo state coordinator of WIPSI, he is responsible for building relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, correctional facilities, and community organizations. He also plays the vital roles of overseeing and managing the program’s operations, coordinating with team members, organizing support services, and ensuring the smooth implementation of initiatives.
Mr. Adewumi Akomolafe
Accounts Officer
The account officer plays a crucial role in managing the financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. His other responsibilities include budgeting, expense monitoring and financial reporting.
Mr. Kenny Adekola
Communications Manager
With his expertise in digital marketing and strategic planning, he is involved with managing the organization’s online presence, creating and curating content for social media and engaging with the target audience to raise awareness and support for the initiative.
